If I give you all of my love it won’t make you give your love to me. I just have to wait here and see if it’s going to take.
I know I wouldn’t move with a shove. I’d push back if I wasn’t ready. But it’s so hard to just let it be when its gonna take as long as it takes.
It’s the same thing when you’re growing up Or when broken hearts make you feel low: You can’t force the hand that you let go or the one that you take.
So I’ll give you all of my love and plenty of room to breath. Then I can relax and feel free ‘cause it’s gonna take as long as it takes. ©2011 Matthew Lyle Baxter

Las Vegas 03:28
I’ve got time, I’ve got time and a notion in my mind that we could talk and try to push this thing along. I got your note, got your note and a picture book of photos to remind me but you know it wasn’t me who had forgot. I’ve got fears, I’ve got fears that I ain’t known in all my years as I drive to your new home out in the desert. I’ve got hope, I’ve got hope but its tied up in a rope made up of doubts that this could ever happen to you and me. You got a way about you that makes me fight all the things I know for sure are right. Even though I know why you’re not here I can’t see how you got away from me. I’ve got your face, got your face in my hands but empty space is all I find to try to help to ease my mind. Now I’ve got doubts, I’ve got doubts cause I’m realizing now that this won’t work when you can’t even look me in the eyes. You got a way about you that makes me fight all the things I know for sure are right. Even though I know why you’re not here I can’t see how you got away from me. Got my feet, got my feet and they walk across the street to my car but you’re not coming with me So I’ve got tears, I’ve got tears and they blur my rear-view mirror as I see Las Vegas slowly fading away. You got a way about you that makes me fight all the things I know for sure are right. Even though I know why you’re not here I can’t see how you got away from me. ©2011 Matthew Lyle Baxter

Memo 02:54
I wrote a note on an old receipt. Cryptic and broken I forgot what it means
Something I wrote that I meant to keep But a little memo is only part of the memory.
And I don't quite understand how something that used to be At one moment so important now It don't mean a thing to me. ©2011 Matthew Lyle Baxter

The things that you love, don't ever die. The things that you love, don't ever die. The things that you love, don't ever die. The things that you fear barely exist. The things that you hate don't give a shit. Just let them go.
The things that you love, don't ever die. The things that you love, don't ever die. The things that you love, don't ever die. ©2011 Matthew Lyle Baxter

You and Me 03:51
What can I say to show how I feel? The words all come out pathetic. I try to be cool. I try to be real. But real never sounds poetic. Sometimes its hard to try and define the things in my heart with words in my mind. What can I say? I’m glad that you’re here. I’m happy that we’re together. You have a way to quiet my fears that always makes me feel better. and I can say without a doubt that you are someone I won’t do without. You and me will always be You and me will always be You and me will always be you and me. And every night as we fall asleep, we’ll close our eyes with a promise to keep: You and me will always be You and me will always be You and me will always be you and me. ©2011 Matthew Lyle Baxter
